The LRC was officially opened in September 2008 by popular author Frank Cottrell Boyce and a reception was held for staff, governors and pupils. Mr Boyce was visiting Oswestry as part of the Oswestry Reads initiative. Throughout the initiative, the Marches School had championed the author's "Framed" so it was a great pleasure to be able to welcome him to our new facility. Mr Boyce spent the morning talking to groups of pupils and said he was very impressed with the LRC and reiterated the importance of books and libraries.
