Comenius

These Comenius projects allow teachers to meet with other colleagues and to develop skills needed to improve their teaching. Our students, about four for each year of the project travel with the teachers and live with students and work daily on one aspect of the project.

Lifelong Learning Project. 2009-2010:

This year we have been successful in receiving funding to take part in an international project with teachers and students in Turkey, Italy and Germany. During this academic year many of our students will take part in activities designed to raise awareness of the environment and internationalism generally.

To support this Mr O’Toole, Mrs Parry and Mrs Porter will be travelling to Turkey to meet with teachers from the linked schools and discuss how the project will be rolled out. Later this year four students will have the chance to travel to Verona in Italy to work on a project with students from across Europe.
