The Marches is very excited to be hosting a visit on the 20th November by the leading children’s author Alan Gibbons, who has written many popular books for children whether it’s fantasy tales of werewolves and demons, or gripping stories about teenager’s real life struggles.

Alan has won numerous awards including the Catalyst Award and has been shortlisted twice for both the Carnegie Medal and Booktrust Teenage Prizes.  Alongside his long list of achievements as an author, Alan is a dynamic educator and is passionate about inspiring young people to read and write.  We are delighted that Alan will be talking to our Year 10 students and will run workshops throughout the morning for Year 7 and 8 students.
