Holly Harris in Year 9 has had her “Happy Tree” published in The School Artists’ Portfolio.
The competition was open to all 11-18 year olds and it invited pupils to portray their innermost feelings through art.
From love to loathing and joy to jealousy pupils were asked to let
their imaginations run wild. Holly’s entry was chosen from over 8,000
entries.
Holly described her entry as “I wanted my picture to include nature and
one of the things I like to do is climb trees. Happy Tree is a happy
and fun place to be. For this picture, I let my imagination wander to
a place I’d feel happy and comfortable in, and this is the kind of tree
I’d love to climb.”
