Head Boy and Head Girl
Matthew Napper and Emily Jones have been selected as Head Boy and Head Girl at The Marches School and Technology College.

They faced tough competition with a total of ten Year 10 pupils expressing an interest in the positions.  The students were very impressive at interview, they had prepared thoroughly, they spoke with confidence and authority and the front runners demonstrated genuine leadership qualities.  After the interview process, Mrs Longville the Head Teacher said “the experience left me feeling very proud of our students and delighted with their dedication to the school.  I am really looking forward to working with such enthusiastic and confident student leaders”.
In the end the difficult decision was taken; Matthew Napper was made Head Boy with his Deputies being Alex Hill and Luke Gilchrist.  Emily Jones was made Head Girl with her deputies being Rebecca Duxbury and Chloe Yeomans.
Matthew Napper on becoming Head Boy said “Becoming Head Boy of The Marches is an amazing opportunity and I want to give the role 100% to ensure our students benefit from Emily’s and my contribution”.  Emily Jones said of her successful bid “It is going to be an opportunity that I will never forget.  I want to work alongside Matt to represent the students of The Marches and to leave a legacy of a highly successful Pupil Leadership Group.”
We wish them both a very exciting and successful year.
