Marches School Fun Day Wows Local Attendees
The Marches School Family Fun Day took place at the Marches School Sports Field on Saturday 30th June and it proved once again to be an enjoyable day for hundreds of attendees.
The Fun Day featured a climbing wall, a fun fair, bouncy castles and a Festival of Talent competition showcasing musically-gifted local talent.
The event was highlighted by the fly past from the Red Arrows as they made their way past between air displays as many waited in anticipation for them to fly over in their unmistakable ‘V formation’, which was a true spectacle for all.
The event was sponsored by Oswestry-based Aico Limited and attracted a huge audience and included a variety of stalls selling local produce and treats.
Many of the stalls ran competitions for all to get involved with and there was a raffle which was supported by the Lion Quays Hotel and Spa, the British Ironworks Centre and Arla.
The event was a fun-filled afternoon and preparations have already begun for the 2019 event.
Hayley Alldridge, Events Manager at the Marches School, commented: “The weather was immaculate and the event had a very positive buzz about it. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported this event through sponsorship, holding a stall or attending the occasion. We are very excited for the 2019 Family Fun Day already.”
