Austria Skiing Trip
Over half term The Marches School took 40 students to Zell am See in Austria on an annual ski trip for 5 days. The purpose of the trip was to give students the opportunity to learn and progress in snow sport skills whilst embracing Austrian culture.
In the evenings students and staff went bowling, watched an ice hockey match and even met a polar bear on the ice rink whilst doing the conga. Students got competitive in a head to head ski race and battled it out in a quiz. Students also watched a live ski jump show on the mountain with music and lights.
Miss Sian Cooke, PE Teacher at The Marches School commented, “All students progressed really well, even the beginner’s completed red runs by the end of the week! They were a credit to The Marches School. We look forward to the next ski trip in Easter 2018 to Risoul in France”.
