Student Support

At The Marches School our ethos “Achievement through Caring” embodies the holistic approach that we take to supporting students, so that they may achieve in all aspects of their development. We aim to enhance their life chances for the future by providing tailored support throughout their time in school.

We endeavour to ensure that students and parents are provided with independent advice and guidance, whenever required, to assist with making important academic or career decisions. Emotional and medical advice are also offered if needed.

All students are assigned a form tutor in Year 7 and this relationship develops and grows throughout a child’s time at The Marches School, providing crucial support and an essential link between academic, social and pastoral aspects of school life. House Leaders also play a vital role in the support network, along with pastoral staff, teachers and members of the Student Support Centre.

A dedicated team of staff are based permanently in both Student Support Services and The Student Support Centre, ensuring that our students receive an outstanding level of care at all times. The Student Support Centre provides a quiet, calm and positive environment to enable staff to work on a one-to-one basis with students when required.
