Transition

At The Marches School, we devote considerable time and effort to make the transition from primary to secondary education as smooth as possible. Throughout the year, we have a full liaison programme and this includes a range of sample days and taster sessions, enabling children to experience the school day, make new friends and meet the teachers. The more familiar a child is with their new surroundings, the less likely they are to feel anxious. Therefore, our comprehensive and supportive transition programme is designed to facilitate the move from primary to secondary and ensure it is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Hello to our new Year 7 students. We know that this is a new way of introducing you to our school but we hope you’ll enjoy taking part in the activities during transition.

We want you to feel happy about joining us in September so if you have any questions that are not answered on this page over the coming days and weeks, please email Mr Kemble who will be more than happy to help you Michael.Kemble@mar.mmat.co.uk.

We’d love you to follow our Facebook page @marchesschool where we will update you with information on moving to The Marches School in September.
