Students currently travel to The Marches School using a variety of means including service buses, taxis, bikes and on foot. The existing bus links to and from the school are very good and provide access from a number of areas in and around Oswestry, including across the border into Powys and Wrexham.

The school operates a minibus service running daily from Chirk (currently running from Gledrid but to incorporate Chirk in 2015), picking up in Weston Rhyn and Selattyn. Post-16 Transport
Students can apply for a bus pass through Shropshire Council or consider route options and contaqct the bus company direct. Students will be entitled to assistance with trasport costs if parents:

  • Qualify for free school meals
  • Receive income based job seekers allowance
  • Receive income support
  • Receive child tax credits with an income of less than £16,190
