Parents and carers with students in all years are invited to one consultation evening a year. In Year 11, this increases to two, one before and one after the Entrance Exams. These evenings allow parents to talk to each subject teacher individually and fully understand their child’s progress, as well as the next steps required to ensure targets are reached and exceeded.
Year 8 – Thursday 9th May 2019 4:00pm – 6:30pm. Please confirm whether you will be attending this event by using our online booking system.

Year 7, 8 and 9 Revision Resources
Our Year 7, 8 and 9 students have exams after the Easter holidays in the core subjects; English, Maths and Science. It is vitally important for their future success in GCSE exams and beyond that they take these exams seriously and develop good revision habits.
To help them with their preparations, they have had an assembly on revision techniques and revision timetables, they have also had further guidance during tutor time and the opportunity to practice making revision resources.
They have all received a printed copy of the revision guidance booklets below.
The booklet contains tips and practical ideas to help students find what works best for them to revise and at the back, there are revision lists for Maths, English and Science. Please do familiarise yourself with the contents of the booklet in order to support your child with their exam preparation.

#tip2: Draw up a revision timetable – Research shows that shorter 20-30 minute spells work best
#tip3: Spice up your revision – Use a bit of colour! Drawing colourful learning maps will help you to memorise facts
#tip4: Reward yourself – It is not all about the work; you need good breaks too
#tip5: Exercise – Physical activity is very important, in particular during intense study time. Even going for a small 30-minute jog after a day of revision will make a huge difference to your wellbeing.
