Year 8 students enjoy educational trips!

On Tuesday 4th June a group of year 8 students from the Marches School enjoyed an interesting educational trip to Airbus, where they enjoyed a tour of the factory and participated in STEM activities. Mrs Meg Murphy, Careers Adviser, said ‘We really value opportunities to take students to meet employers where they can learn about the companies around them, what they do and what opportunities there may be for them with that company in the future. Airbus were extremely accommodating and will be coming in to school to talk to an entire year group about opportunities available in the aerospace sector’.

On Wednesday 5th June, Year 8 students also enjoyed a trip to the University of Birmingham. The students were taken on a tour of the campus, participated in interactive sessions to learn more about university life, met Student Ambassadors and enjoyed an interesting lecture from a Clinical Sciences Research Associate.
