Can you help promote Shropshire by offering accommodation to a European student?
The Youth Exchange Service has been welcoming overseas visitors to Shropshire for over forty five years and now specialise in arranging short term unpaid work experience with accommodation. They also arrange for students under the age of sixteen to attend Shropshire secondary schools whilst living with families with children attending the various schools with whom they work with.
Students come from France, Spain, Italy, Austria and Germany. The Youth Exchange Service has been well known in France for many years and continue to welcome many visitors from that country. More and more young people from the other countries are wanting to come to the UK to improve their English whilst also embracing our culture by living with local host(s).
Hosts provide a single bedroom, continental breakfast, picnic lunch and evening meal. All visitors are supervised by Youth Exchange Service.
An accommodation fee of £150.00 per week is paid.
Please do make contact with the Youth Exchange Service if you are interested in hosting in 2020, as applications are now beginning to arrive both for school attendance and work experience.
