Details of our first charity fundraiser of the year!
We, the Year 11 Team, are delighted to host the first charity fundraiser of the year – we would be incredibly grateful if you could make a donation via ParentPay. Students can make donations (min £1) in person to Miss Richards or Mr Pritchard too.
As we have shared previously, the school will be supporting the local counselling service, U&I, for out charity efforts this year.
The first event will take place on Friday 17th December at lunchtime and it will be a Christmas Fun Run. A 1 mile course around the beautiful school fields.
In school we have tried to generate some excitement and friendly competition amongst students and staff – including plenty of teasing from Mr Holmes and Mr Pritchard who have both run marathons this year. We will have plenty of prizes and sweets for those who take part.
As this is the last day of term, we already have planned for students to be allowed to wear their Xmas jumpers in place of the usual school jumper. Any other Xmas themed accessories (hats, elf ears, antlers etc) will also be welcome on the run – it is suggested trainers or football boots as sensible footwear, students will also be allowed to change into PE kit if they would prefer.
If your child is less competitive but would still like to take part then they are welcome to enjoy the event as a walk (we are sure some teachers will be doing this).
All students who make donations via ParentPay or in person will be given entry to the event, deadline is Thursday 16th December – of course, the more the merrier (Xmas pun intended!)
Any problems or queries, please contact Mr Pritchard – email@example.com
