German Exchange to Munich
During the summer holiday, students had an enjoyable time on the German Exchange Trip to Munich. The students got to spend time with their host families whilst also taking part in a variety of activities. The group visited BMW Welt, where they had the opportunity to sit on the motorbikes and view the cars. Students enjoyed a group meal underneath the Munich Rathaus (town hall) as a special invitation from the father of one of the host students, where they enjoyed trying some delicious traditional German food. The group also took a boat ride on Lake Chiemsee to see King Ludwig’s (known as the crazy kings) palace based on Versailles. The students also had an interesting tour of a local school. Despite struggling a little with the heat, which was in excess of 30°c every day, the students managed to pick up lots of German phrases and enjoyed soaking up the Bavarian culture!
