GCSE – 2021

Congratulations Marches Year 11

We are celebrating today with all our students, with a strong set of well-deserved exam outcomes.

The students have shown incredible resilience all year with staff and students working as a team, showing great care for each other over the last two years.

We thank all our parents, carers and families and the community for their role in supporting our young people.

We are welcoming many students back into our Sixth Form for both A level and BTEC courses and are looking forward to what the next two years will bring. We wish the very best to our students entering the world of work and apprenticeships and to those starting courses at local colleges.

Headteacher of The Marches School, Alison Pearson added: “Our Year 11 students really are a credit to our school and the community. They have worked hard with our specialist teams and today reap the benefit of their determination to succeed. We are pleased to have supported these students over their 5 years at the school and look forward to working with many of them as they join our Sixth Form.”

Applications for The Marches Sixth Form are still open for a 2021 start for students who would still like to learn more, our team are available and can be contacted through marchesadmin@mar.mmat.co.uk  with further details on the school website marchesschool.co.uk

We are pleased to welcome future students to our Open Evening on 23rd September for both Sixth Form and lower school.

A Level – 2021

The Marches School is Delighted for Sixth Form Students

We are absolutely delighted for our students. Those leaving this year, have been the most affected by the global pandemic, over both of their two years of study.

Students have shown their resilience to see it through against a backdrop of late and mixed national messages about their education and exams. It is right and proper that our students have been supported every step of the way to ensure they have now gained their university and apprenticeship places.

Our student’s results are the ones they deserve, having worked hard online and in school, with a final 6 week block of assessments to navigate. We could not be prouder of what they have achieved.

Sarah Peacock, Key Stage 5 Raising Standards Leader commented: “Well done to all of our students and staff for their excellent achievements and their determination to succeed this year. We are all immensely proud as they move on to their exciting futures.”

Headteacher of The Marches School, Alison Pearson added: “The work by students and staff and support from home has been significant in this challenging year. All have worked incredibly hard to adapt which has been seen in the results today. Everyone in our school community could not be more pleased with the outcomes.”

Applications for The Marches Sixth Form are still open for a September 2021 start with details on the website marchesschool.co.uk

Staff will be on hand on GCSE results day in school to support any student wishing to discuss a place with us.
