Good afternoon.
We are really looking forward to meeting all pupils for our transition days on Monday 1st July and Tuesday 2nd July.
On both days pupils will meet at The Marches school reception for 8.30am, where Year 7 students will meet them and show pupils to their lines.
Pupils will need on both days:
- A packed lunch
- Water bottle
- Reading book
- Pencil case
- Trainers for both days (either worn or in their school bag)
If children have free school meals, food will be provided.
By early next week all pupils will receive their invitation postcard, and transition booklet.
Pupils can fill in the first part of their booklet either at school or at home. Please can they bring these to transition day.
The year 6s will be leaving site at 2.45pm to avoid the other pupils. If your child is going home with an older sibling they can meet them by reception.
The Tuesday (2nd July) will culminate in the induction evening where pupils and families can come and meet their form tutor and access more information about life at The Marches. Information about this event is on the invitation coming home with pupils. Please book a timeslot that is appropriate for you.
I am so excited about starting this adventure with Year 7 in September and I am looking forward to meeting families on the 2nd of July.
If you have any other queries, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Kindest regards,
Mrs Sian Newey
