Short Story Writing Competition – Open to Years 7-9.

Young Voices Matter is delighted to announce the launch of ‘The 500 Word Malala Yousafzai Competition’ to celebrate International Literacy Day for all pupils at the Marches Academy Trust.  Pupils will submit a short piece of writing or graphic novel (fiction or nonfiction – in any genre). Pupils can write about any subject or topic of interest.

This is a unique creative writing competition. Once the competition has closed, pupils will vote for their favourite piece, through an interactive voting system on the Connected Creatives platform. The four pieces with the highest pupil votes will be the competition winners for 2020.

Key dates:
Writing/closing deadline: 16th November 2020
Live pupil voting opens: 1st – 15th December 2020
Winners and shortlist announced: 17th December 2020
