Winter Watch Parade
The Art Department returned back to school buzzing from the excitement of taking part in the annual Winter Watch Parade in Chester for the third year in a row. Twelve students had the opportunity to collaborate with local artist and events organiser, Russell Kirk and make two eight ft giant puppets, hand printed tabards and individual hats. They then met the artist in Chester and our students took their place in the parade along with fire blowers, brass and drum bands, dancers and interactive puppets. Miss Smith, Head of Art photographed the entire event and was blown away by the confidence our students displayed, interacting with the public and fellow puppet artists. The giant puppets made in school looked stunning on the night. Our students were commended by the artist, band members and general public for enthusiasm on the night.
