π Raising Awareness of Ableism β Assembly Led by Our SENCO π
As part of our ongoing Ban the Banter initiative, our SENCO led an assembly on ableism for all year groups this week. The assembly explored physical, mental, and social ableism, helping students understand how discrimination can affect individuals in different ways.
Students reflected on the impact of language and attitudes, challenged stereotypes, and considered how they can contribute to a more inclusive school environment. To continue this important conversation, students have been invited to take an active role in raising awareness of ableism within the school community.
A huge thank you to our SENCO for delivering such an insightful and thought-provoking assembly! π
Visit marchesschool.co.uk to learn more about our initiatives and how we are fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
