Marches Sixth Form Students Celebrate More Than Just Grades on Results Day
Today marked an important milestone for students at The Marches School and Sixth Form as they received their A Level and Level 3 BTEC results and prepared to embark on exciting new chapters in their lives.
For some, the next step will be university. For others, it will be apprenticeships, employment, specialist training or a gap year. While the destinations may differ, they all represent the culmination of years of commitment, determination and personal growth.
This year a large majority of students secured their first-choice university place or apprenticeship, with students progressing to a wide range of courses and career pathways that reflect their individual ambitions and interests.
Headteacher Sally Wilmot shared:
“Results Day is always one of my favourite days of the school year because it is about people, not just grades. Behind every set of results is a story of hard work, resilience and ambition. We have seen these young people develop into confident, capable individuals who are ready to embrace the opportunities ahead of them. We could not be prouder of all they have achieved.”
What makes Sixth Form at Marches unique is the close-knit community that supports students throughout their journey. Staff work alongside students to help them achieve their academic goals while encouraging them to make the most of leadership opportunities, enrichment activities, work experience and wider personal development.
As they leave Sixth Form, the Class of 2026 departs with more than qualifications. They leave with friendships, experiences and the confidence to take on new challenges.
