A huge congratulations to our Under 12/13 cricket team, who’ve had a busy and exciting few weeks on the pitch!

After a narrow loss to Ellesmere College, the team showed fantastic resilience and bounced back with two brilliant wins against Lakelands and The Corbett.

A big thank you to all the boys for representing Marches School with such pride and commitment!

Yes Team Marches :-)In the week when the Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup was launched specifically to encourage young people in state schools to play cricket, we were thrilled to see 20 girls from The Marches School in Oswestry attending our Tuesday training night this week.

Huge thanks to our Vice Captain and Head of Girls’ PE at The Marches, Lisa Bladen, for getting her talented young cricketers down to the Stonehouse Oval. They all looked like they had a lot of fun joining in with our WaGs! 😁

Please note: There is no WaGs training this Tuesday 1st July due to a fixture at Morda Road.

Keep an eye on our social channels for any rearrangement we may be able to make. 🏏 We’d love to see you again!

🤸‍♂️🙃 Upside Down for International Handstand Day! 🙃🤸‍♀️

Students (and staff!) at Athletics Club celebrated International Handstand Day by showing off their impressive handstand skills! From wobbly starts to perfect balances, it was all about fun, fitness, and flipping things upside down!

Well done to everyone who gave it a go - we’re feeling inspired (and maybe a little dizzy!) 😄

A Fond Farewell to Our Year 13s

We celebrated a truly special milestone as we said goodbye to our incredible Year 13 students.

Throughout their journey with us, they’ve shown resilience, growth, and determination and we couldn’t be prouder of the young adults they’ve become.

As they now step into their next exciting chapter, whether it’s university, apprenticeships, employment, or travel, we wish them every success and happiness for the future.

Shropshire Championships Success!

The best of our Year 7 and 8 athletes headed to the Shropshire Championships, aiming for the top – and they certainly delivered!

There were outstanding performances across both track and field events, with our students doing Marches School incredibly proud:

🥈 Ida Martin – 2nd in the Shot Put
🥈 Bea Hitchins – 2nd in both the 800m and Long Jump
🥈 Fin Jones – 2nd in the 1500m

A huge highlight of the event was Tor Hornett, who was crowned Shropshire Champion in not one, but three events – the High Jump, Shot Put, and Triple Jump! A truly multi-talented athlete!

📸 Pictured: Fin, Tor, and Ida proudly wearing their medals!
