Year 10 Spoken Language Assessment

Over the past few weeks, students in Year 10 have been very busy making a start on the next phase of their English GCSE, this time in English Language. One of the compulsory aspects of this course is for students to write and deliver a speech based on a topic of their choice. There has been a wide range of interesting topics, including Animal Cruelty, Racism, the impact of Social Media on youngsters, and how women are represented in the media. During the couple of weeks, the students in Year 10 will deliver this Speaking and Listening Assessment where their teacher will record them and give them a mark of either a Pass, Merit, or Distinction. Each student will be expected to deliver their speech in front of their class unless there are extenuating circumstances. The English Department would like you to thank you all for your continued support.
